Chalet Renovation – Les Houches

Our team recently managed an extensive interior and exterior renovation project for an overseas client with a property in Les Houches.
Our many overseas clients typically do not have the availability to oversee their renovation process themselves, so they rely on the Pangea team to oversee the entire process. This project was no exception.
There were essentially two projects: a complete interior renovation and the construction of a new additional garage. Both were managed concurrently to adhere to our client’s desired timescale, with the aim of completing by December 2022. We are pleased to announce that we successfully met this deadline.
The interior renovations were typical of those required in older chalets to bring them up to modern specifications. This meant a full strip back to the shell to facilitate the installation of new, energy-efficient insulation, an upgraded power supply with a full electrical rewire, installation of a new water main, a full re-plumb, and the construction of a new first-floor balcony.
It took an experienced team and a strong network of contacts to bring together such a complex mix of works while avoiding typical construction delays. Thanks to our many years managing property renovations in Chamonix, we knew exactly who to call and how to allocate time for such work. Demolition was completed early on, and we were thrilled to stay on track, ultimately completing the project in time for the client to use the chalet over Christmas.
One of the standout features of this property is the stunning mountain view. With this in mind, external windows and doors were replaced, and the existing window openings were remodeled with the help of local architects to maximize this unique vista.
The final internal fit-out includes five bedrooms, three bathrooms, a ski room, a new kitchen, and a spacious lounge/dining area. The end result is a truly magnificent chalet, easily able to meet the demands of modern living.
We are excited to share that the project is now complete, and the chalet is ready for our client to enjoy.
